JOB TITLE: Principal Software Engineer

LOCATION: Southlake, TX (telecommute role, may work remotely from anywhere in the US)

DUTIES: Define, communicate, and execute the architectural strategy for large, complex, and distributed systems; Lead the design and development of scalable, cloud-native applications, ensuring adherence to microservices architecture and event-driven patterns; provide technical guidance on projects while promoting best practices in code quality, security, and performance; Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Operations, Security) to shape cloud transformation initiatives and deliver innovative solutions; Own and guide the technical roadmap for cloud-native development, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and performant; Promote and implement DevOps best practices including CI/CD, observability, automation, and container orchestration; Lead high-level design discussions and decisions incorporating modern patterns like domain-driven design and event-driven architecture; Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to continuously improve the software development process; Ability to learn emerging technologies like Machine learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Gen AI and also lead the project implementations.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a software engineer, application developer, software architect, technical staff, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 5 years in software development, building robust and scalable solutions utilizing Java, Python or Scala or Go; Spring and Spring Boot; Kafka or RabbitMQ; Redis or Hazelcast; PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB or Spanner; GCP, AWS or Azure Cloud platforms; ELK Stack, Grafana or Prometheus; and GibLab or Jira. Telecommute role, may work remotely from anywhere in the US.
