MS Azure Network Segmentation Architect

Job Summary:

Wise Staffing Group is seeking a talented Azure Network Segmentation Engineer to design, automate, and optimize network segmentation and security across Azure cloud environments. This role focuses on enhancing security posture, ensuring compliance, and streamlining network operations through automation and proactive monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

Use ARM templates, Ansible, or PowerShell to deploy and manage network segmentation and security configurations at scale.

Develop automation scripts and workflows to enforce segmentation policies and integrate Microsoft Defender for incident response.

Monitor network performance and security using Azure Monitor, Microsoft Defender, and related tools.

Identify and resolve bottlenecks, optimize segmented traffic, and harden network security.

Ensure network segmentation aligns with NIST, HIPAA, GDPR, and other industry standards.

Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments in collaboration with compliance teams.

Implement micro-segmentation within Azure to reduce attack surface and improve incident containment.

Maintain accurate documentation of configurations and policies.

Provide regular reports on segmentation health, security posture, and Defender alerts to stakeholders.
