Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Web Developer with expertise in WordPress to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role involves creating, updating, and maintaining custom WordPress themes and plugins to ensure optimal performance and functionality. The position is 100% remote, offering flexibility while supporting projects for federal government clients.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain WordPress websites, including custom themes and plugins, to meet client requirements.

• Ensure website performance, security, and accessibility standards are upheld.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather project requirements and deliver tailored solutions.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality and performance.

• Implement and manage content updates efficiently using WordPress CMS.

• Conduct quality assurance testing, including bug tracking and resolution, to ensure seamless user experiences.

• Integrate APIs and third-party tools to enhance website capabilities.

• Utilize tools like Atlassian Jira to manage tasks and track project progress.

• Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in web development and WordPress.

• Support ongoing website maintenance needs for federal government clients.• Proven experience in WordPress development, including custom themes and plugins.

• Strong understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.

• Familiarity with back-end development and database management.

• Knowledge of API development and integration.

• Experience with bug tracking and project management tools like Atlassian Jira.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to work on federal government projects.

• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies for project execution.
