IT Analyst Desktop Support

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled IT Analyst specializing in Desktop Support to join our team in West Des Moines, Iowa. This long-term contract position requires on-site work four days a week. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless computer operations and providing technical support to enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Replace outdated computers with newly deployed systems, ensuring minimal disruption to users.

• Perform operating system upgrades, including transitioning systems to updated Windows versions.

• Execute computer imaging processes with precision to prepare devices for deployment.

• Safely dispose of obsolete IT assets in compliance with organizational standards.

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues to maintain system functionality.

• Provide user support for desktop applications, including Microsoft Office and internet functions.

• Ensure all systems adhere to established computer security policies and protocols.

• Collaborate with team members to optimize desktop configuration and deployment strategies.

• Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets and support activities.

• Assist in managing Active Directory and backup technologies as needed.• Solid understanding of computing and networking fundamentals.

• Proficiency in using standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and web-based tools.

• Familiarity with computer security policies and general security concepts.

• At least 1 year of IT experience preferred; recent graduates with relevant knowledge will also be considered.

• Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience; high school diploma or equivalent is acceptable.

• Experience with computer hardware, imaging, and desktop deployment processes.

• Ability to configure and manage Active Directory and backup technologies.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in technical troubleshooting.
