Job Description
TMB, Inc is seeking candidates for a Sr. Software Engineer to support NAVSEA Acquisition Program Office Engineering Support Services requirements. This position is contingent upon the award of the PMS 406 contract. Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain computer software for naval applications.
Participate in design and code reviews, fix errors and bugs, optimize applications and design and implement algorithms.
Provide network architecture engineering support by reviewing, analyzing, model-based system engineering, and developing engineering documents for a network system, information system, and for system assessment and authorization (A&A).
Assess and develop a proposed System of Systems (SoS) Architecture Framework IAW guidelines for the ashore or afloat platform baseline.
Review and assess SoS design, identify software vulnerability, and risk management to ensure cybersecurity and UxV Mission requirements are satisfied.
Identify deficiencies and issues and recommend mitigation solutions.Qualifications
At least 10 years of relevant experience.
Software Engineering experience.
Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred experience with applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting and applying modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in professional or academic settings.
Professional Engineer License, Agile Developer certification, or Certified Scrum Developer certification is a plus.
Must be a United States citizen.
Must possess an active DOD Top Secret security clearance.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to perform frequent internal and external customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings.
Ability to travel reasonable distances (up to mile one way) to meet with customers or other company personnel in the execution of job functions.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in order to carry a laptop, notebooks, papers, binders and other tools and equipment required in the execution of job functions.
