Job Description

TMB, Inc is seeking candidates for a Sr. Naval Architect to support NAVSEA Acquisition Program Office Engineering Support Services requirements. This position is contingent upon the award of the PMS 406 contract. Responsibilities

Provide analysis on ship hulls and superstructures.

Study design products and specifications to establish basic characteristics of a ship, such as size, weight, and speed.

Lead teams from a variety of specialties to oversee building and testing prototypes.

Evaluate how ships perform during trials, both at dock and at sea, and change designs as needed to make sure national and international standards are met.Qualifications

At least 15 years of professional experience in Naval Architecture.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.

Preferred experience with DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process).

Professional Engineer License is a plus.

Must be a United States citizen.

Must possess an active DOD Top Secret security clearance.

Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.

Ability to perform frequent internal and external customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings.

Ability to travel reasonable distances (up to mile one way) to meet with customers or other company personnel in the execution of job functions.

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in order to carry a laptop, notebooks, papers, binders and other tools and equipment required in the execution of job functions.
