Job Description
Supervises and instructs infant, toddler, and/or preschool age children.
Develops instructional activities to ensure skill development in the following areas: language and communication, self-help, fine and gross motor, social, emotional, cognitive and sensory. Creates and/or follows individualized plans for students. Implements strategies to ensure the regulation and management of children.
Provides classroom coverage in ECE and/or ECLC on a daily basis as directed.
Works cooperatively with a variety of professionals to include, community agencies, specialists, supervisors and families to support transdisciplinary teaming.
As appropriate, prepares and maintains written records and reports as required on, but not limited to, evaluations, assessments, program objectives. Collaborates with Help Me Grow (HMG) and Local School Districts to produce IFSP and/or IEPs for assigned student.
Provides consultation services with parents, guardians, care givers, community agencies and/or significant others to develop program plans.
As appropriate, performs student assessments, assesses developmental levels of students by formal and information methods in order to obtain evaluative data; observes and confers with parents and significant others in order to collect and share information relative to the assessment process and to develop needs for service.
Participates in and/or provides staff training programs, reads professional literature and attends seminars, workshops or academic classes to enhance professional knowledge and skills. Attends and participates in staff trainings to obtain and provide information appropriate to job duties.
