About the Role
Are you a skilled CNC Machinist who thrives on precision and variety? Our Client is seeking an experienced and motivated machinist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you won't be stuck on one machine running the same part. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, from custom one-off components to high-volume production runs, using a variety of well-maintained equipment.
If you are a problem-solver who takes pride in producing high-quality, close-tolerance parts, we want to talk to you. This is a hands-on position where you will be responsible for everything from setup to final inspection, working with critical materials like titanium, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Your Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of CNC lathes and mills, including Haas, Shibaura, Yama Seiki, and Bridgeport machines.
Read and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
Write, edit, and troubleshoot G-code programs at the machine controller to ensure optimal performance.
Perform complete job setups, including tooling selection, fixture alignment, and work offsets.
Conduct in-process and first-article inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
Operate CMM equipment to verify parts meet exacting quality standards.
Work both independently on assigned projects and collaboratively with the team to meet production goals and deadlines.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience: 3-5+ years of professional experience as a CNC Machinist.
Programming: Must be proficient with G-code. Some experience with Mastercam is a plus.
Machine Proficiency: Hands-on experience with both CNC lathes and mills is required.
Technical Skills: Proven ability to perform your own setups and tool changes.
Quality Assurance: Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM equipment to conduct precise measurements and hold tight tolerances.
Materials: Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and other alloys.
Attributes: Strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a high degree of attention to detail.
