POSITION SUMMARY:
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will play a critical role in the early stages of the sales cycle to qualify inbound sales calls and be the link between outside sales, customer service, and marketing. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and qualify potential customers by gathering key technical and application-specific information. You will work closely with the sales and engineering teams to ensure prospects are a good fit for our products and solutions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead Generation
· Manage lead generation activities such as prospecting, cold calling, and email outreach to increase sales.
· Help prepare sales materials, presentations, and proposals for potential clients.
· Receive and qualify inbound sales inquiries and oversee the sales team’s opportunity pipelines.
· Follow up with leads to ensure they are adequately nurtured through the sales process.
Customer Service
· Address customer inquiries and facilitate resolution promptly.
· Facilitate the processing of quotes, orders, and proposals. Continuously nurture through the purchasing cycle.
· Learn cross-functional skills in the customer service department as a backup resource when needed.
Marketing
· Facilitate content creation for marketing materials, blog posts, and social media posts.
· Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitors, and opportunities for growth.
· Gather information regarding the company, competitors, pricing, products, and market trends.
· Utilize company digital tools to sell, market, promote, and demonstrate products.
· Attend trade shows and seminars to promote products or to learn about industry developments.
Sales Operations
· Keep sales, customer, and marketing records accurate and current.
· Track and report on key sales performance metrics.
· Use CRM tools to manage leads and maintain detailed sales records.
· Join sales meetings and contribute ideas and insights.
· Support outside sales by handling priority transactions.
· Oversee the company’s house accounts.
· Attend training to learn about products and grow professionally.
· Other duties as assigned.
Company
· Represent Fusion professionally in all customer interactions.
· Follow ISO 9001:2015 procedures and seek process improvements.
· Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Familiarity with using CRM software.
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
· Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
· Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow in a professional manufacturing setting.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
· Associates degree from an accredited program.
· Experience in sales or marketing (internship or part-time job).
· Experience in the manufacturing industry selling capital equipment.
· Technical/Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with automation.
· Experience with various brazing and soldering metal-joining processes.
· Professional training or education in mechanical engineering or chemical background.
