Data Analysis and Reporting: They collect and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Reporting these findings to higher management and suggesting actions is a key part of their duties.

Supplier Quality Management: They may be involved in assessing supplier quality and ensuring that the materials received meet the required standards.

Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, industrial management, or a related field is typically required. Specific degrees in automotive engineering or manufacturing engineering are highly valued.

Certifications: Additional certifications would be an asset such as: Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) offered by the American Society for Quality (ASQ). IATF 16949: Understanding of and certification in this automotive quality standard is highly beneficial. ISO 9001 Training: Certifications in quality management systems and internal auditor qualifications.
