As a new Automation Technician at EVCO Plastics, you will engage in a variety of hands-on tasks aimed at maintaining and optimizing our automated systems. Daily responsibilities will include troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, conducting routine maintenance, and implementing enhancements to improve operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with fellow technicians and engineers, participating in problem-solving discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Expect to work a consistent schedule from Wednesday to Friday, along with every other Saturday, from 7 PM to 7 AM. This schedule offers a dynamic working environment where you will become familiar with our systems while gaining valuable insights from experienced team members. To excel as an Automation Technician at EVCO Plastics, candidates should possess a strong foundation in automation principles, particularly with 2-3 years of experience in PLC programming. A solid electrical background is essential, allowing you to diagnose and troubleshoot systems effectively. Familiarity with SCARA or six-axis robots is also crucial, as you will be working with these advanced technologies regularly. In addition to technical skills, successful individuals will demonstrate problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. A collaborative spirit is important, as you will be part of a team dedicated to continuous improvement and innovation.

Adaptability and a proactive approach to learning new technologies will further enhance your effectiveness in this role. With these skills, you will contribute significantly to the success of our manufacturing operations at EVCO Plastics.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

2-3 years' experience in PLC Programming

2-3 years Electrical
