Manual Machinist

Job Description

1 Resource Group is currently seeking a dedicated Manual Machinist to join our team in the Houston area. As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various manual machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders to produce precision turbine blade parts. You will interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure that all products adhere to rigorous quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

Set up and operate manual machining equipment as required for production.

Monitor the machine’s operation and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality.

Perform quality checks on finished parts using precision measuring tools.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere strictly to safety regulations.

Collaborate with team members to facilitate timely production schedules.

Requirements

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

5+ years of experience as a Manual Machinist.

Proficient in using manual lathes, mills, and other machining tools.

Strong understanding of machining techniques, tolerances, and quality controls.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.

Exceptional attention to detail with a high standard for precision work.

Capable of lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods of time.
