Summary

The Scheduler will assist in planning, directing, and coordinating activities pertaining to the development, permitting, construction, and maintenance of solar projects in accordance with company policies and governmental regulations. The primary function is to work with developers, permitting, estimators, and project managers to manage deadlines to make sure projects are started and completed on time by gathering data, creating timetables, and meeting deadlines.

Job Responsibilities

Manage project master schedule and project specific schedules, including review of baseline schedules, and schedule updates using Primavera P6.

Alert all stakeholders of potential schedule delays and provide feedback on proposed mitigation measures.

Perform efficient Resource Loading.

Work with the development, permitting, project development, construction, and project management teams to develop timetables and milestones.

Compile anticipated durations and logic components of projects.

Monitor, track, and update on progress via preparing weekly and monthly progress reports identifying work completed, critical path items, major milestones, and other related items.

Manage all change requests and evaluate their impact to project(s) scope, schedule, and budget.

Maintain a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and problem solving.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently inspect the project and will be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions.

The employee must also occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities include close vision and color vision.

Must be able to drive a vehicle.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position and will require longer hours and frequent weekend work.

Travel

10% travel to job sites will be expected as needed.

Required Education and Experience

Associate degree or comparable experience in construction technology

4+ years of experience in construction scheduling

Proficiency with reading blueprints, plans, specs, contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders?

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software

Proficiency with Procore or other construction management software

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Preferred bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field

Experience working on solar construction
