The successful candidate must be punctual, responsible, customer service oriented and have excellent interpersonal skills with at least 10 years of hotel experience.

The position of the Chief Engineer requires a high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills, strong leadership capabilities and detailed orientation. To be successful you must possess excellent organizational and time management skills.

Specific Duties:The responsibilities of the Chief Engineer include but are not limited to:

Operation of the physical hotel to assure the comfort of guests and good working conditions of the staff.

Maintaining all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment; establishing and operating within sound safety practices; establishing preventative maintenance programs.

Managing all rehabilitation and special projects.

Hiring, training, and disciplining of the Engineering Staff; maintenance of special permits and licenses as required by local authorities.

Other Duties and Responsibilities as may be designated.

Education/Experience:

At least 5 years Hotel experience with minimum 5 years supervisory / leadership role or related job experience.

HS diploma or equivalent

Extensive knowledge of HVAC, Carpentry, Plumbing, and Electrical experience required.

Comprehension of English language.

Must be able to convey and relay ideas and information clearly and efficiently.

Basic PC Knowledge and understanding of a Windows operating system. Ability to be trained on hotels property management system.

May be required to move, lift, or push 50 pounds frequently or consistently.

Standing, walking, or bending is required most of the shift.

Must be able work well with others in a team environment.

Must be able to work in a supervised atmosphere, accepting and understand coaching, counseling, instructions and/or feedback.

Neat and professional appearance is required. Name tags and uniforms are required to be always worn.

The starting pay will be based on experience. We require you to pass a national background check before you start the job.
