Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will work in either the Sub Assembly or General Assembly area, where you will add brackets and use hand and power tools to affix fasteners, clips, or other hardware onto window units. You may also use caulking guns to fill spaces, paint materials, wrap units, and inspect for any flaws during the assembly process. Your role requires you to meet daily production goals, and you will be cross-trained in different areas, requiring flexibility in learning various parts of the process.
Responsibilities
Add brackets and use hand and power tools for assembly tasks.
Use caulking guns to fill spaces and ensure precision in work.
Inspect units for flaws throughout the assembly process.
Paint materials and wrap units as needed.
Meet production goals for respective departments and assembly lines.
Work with large pieces of glass and sheet metal.
Stand and walk for 8-hour shifts during assembly tasks.
Retrieve materials and test units in the yard as required.Essential Skills
Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
Ability to read blueprints.
Mechanical aptitude and experience in a mechanical field.
1-2 years of experience in construction or mechanical assembly.
Ability to read a tape measure accurately.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Computer skills are a plus.
Experience in construction or home improvement is ideal.
Flexible in task assignments and receptive to feedback.

Work Environment
Work in a non-climate controlled, busy manufacturing environment with some loud machinery and a team-oriented atmosphere. The facility involves large piece assembly, and you may be exposed to outdoor conditions for certain tasks. The shift is from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with mandatory overtime possible during the week or on Saturdays.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
