Job Title: Controls Technician

Job Description

As a Controls Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of equipment within an aluminum cast house that specializes in producing aluminum billets and logs. This tier 3 automotive supplier requires expertise in installing, inspecting, adjusting, and repairing various equipment, including furnaces, extruders, robotics, saws, palletizers, and yard equipment. Your primary focus will be on meeting safety standards and production needs by swiftly responding to equipment failures.

Responsibilities

Install, inspect, adjust, and repair equipment such as furnaces, extruders, robotics, saws, palletizers, and yard equipment.

Complete all PLC work, including troubleshooting, editing, and programming.

Perform basic electrical work, but not mechanical work.

Respond quickly to equipment failures to meet safety standards and production requirements.Essential Skills

5+ years of controls experience.

Experience troubleshooting, editing, and programming PLCs.

Electrical experience with 3-phase systems, 480 volts, sensors, relays, and electrical boxes.

Foundry experience.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment

On-call duties are required, with the ability to troubleshoot remotely in most situations.

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
