Project Manager - Building Automation
Location: Peachtree City, GA
Overview:
Our client seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead automation projects from initiation through closeout. This role requires a strong technical foundation in building automation, along with proven experience managing project schedules, financials, customer coordination, and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage full project lifecycle and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery
Lead and mentor engineering teams, providing technical oversight and quality assurance
Develop and maintain Microsoft Project schedules with clear dependencies and deliverables
Monitor project margin, proactively manage scope changes, and forecast financial outcomes
Prepare and manage project financial reporting, cost projections, cash flow, and invoicing
Draft and track change orders, and oversee procurement processes
Coordinate directly with customers, serving as the primary commercial point of contact
Lead regular project meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders
Enforce engineering standards and ensure adherence to quality plans
Identify project risks and lead mitigation strategies
Support the development of internal project management tools and QMS contributions
Negotiate terms and conditions as neededQualifications:
3-5 years of experience in automation project management or technical leadership
Strong working knowledge of financial management and project forecasting
Proven experience organizing, scheduling, and executing technical project plans
Experience training and developing junior engineers
Working knowledge of HVAC systems, including sequences of operation, P&IDs, and utility systems such as chilled water, boilers, and electrical distribution
Understanding of electrical low-voltage installation and subcontractor management
