WE ARE LOOKING FOR A HIGH-ENERGY AND DRIVEN SENIOR PAYROLL SPECIALIST to Administer all aspects of the US and Canadian payroll function for Rand Worldwide. Rand Worldwide is a leading provider of Autodesk design and engineering solutions. Rand provides CAD software and technology expertise to companies across North America. You’ll have a great team standing behind you, but you will need to bring motivation, persistence, and a sincere desire to support our business goals.
What will you be responsible for?
Accurately process the semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll for all North American employees (400+)
Complete year end reporting and reconciliations with respective agencies (CRA, Ministry of Finance)
Reconcile T4s and W2s
Prepare semi-monthly and monthly reports as well as ad-hoc reporting as necessary
Answer employees’ questions regarding payroll, tax and 401(k) plan.
Record changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance deductions, garnishments and manual checks to ensure YTD earnings are accurate.
Keep records of non-taxable wages and contract employees.
Reconcile report discrepancies and problems.
Prepare general ledger reports and reconcile report discrepancies and problems.
Maintain various payroll records
Prepare payroll information as required for various audits 401(k), financial, works comp, etc.) 5500 filing
Compile and maintain Workers Compensation accounts through payroll reporting for the payment of monthly, quarterly or annual fees.
Assist with any other duties within the Accounting department as requested
Perform employment verifications and answer unemployment insurance inquiries
Who are we looking for?
College degree in a business/financial related field preferred
5+ years of payroll experience, ADP Workforce Now payroll experience preferred
Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws
Accurate, detail oriented, integrity and maintains confidentiality
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Able to communicate with all levels of the organization
Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proficient using Microsoft Office with strong knowledge of MS Excel
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Total Compensation
Salary $80,000-$90,000
