Summary
St. John Neumann Academy is seeking a caring, energetic, and organized person to lead our After-School Program. This is a rewarding opportunity to positively impact our Preschool - 8th Grade students in a supportive, faith-filled school community.
The After-School Program Leader is responsible for creating a welcoming, structured, and engaging environment where students feel safe, valued, and active after the school day ends. This individual will manage daily program activities, supervise a team of three program staff members, and ensure strong communication with families at pick-up. Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Follows the St. John Neumann Academy academic calendar (August–May)
Duties
Oversee the daily operations of the program for students in Preschool through 8th Grade
Develop/implement activity plans including arts crafts, games, and enrichment projects
Maintain a safe, orderly, and positive environment
Build strong relationships with students and parents; communicate effectively during pick-up times
Ensure accountability and consistency among staff while modeling strong leadership
Manage attendance records and student check-out procedure
Requirements
Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
Strong behavior and classroom management skills across multiple age groups
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and adapt plans when needed
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Enthusiasm, creativity, and a team-first mindset
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
