Job Description

As the Data Analyst, you will be within the Data and Analytics organization, the Data and BI teams are undergoing a data modernization effort to create a modern enterprise data platform.

The Data Analyst will be a member of this transformation by working with a small team of business analysts and other data analysts to:

Review and analyze the current legacy data platform and assist with the requirements of the new data platform from a BI, reporting, and analytic perspective.

Analyze current legacy data and reporting, including KPIs and other metrics, to understand the new data platform requirements.

Assess options for process improvement, including business process modeling.

Create and maintain documentation around existing metrics, reports, and data mappings.

Validate and QA the new data warehouse data to ensure it is able to be used effectively in the new semantic layer.

Knowledge Experience

Qualifications:

5+ years experience as a Business Analyst

3+ years experience using SQL to query and analyze data

Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with key stakeholders to support the creation of the semantic layer

Experience testing and mapping various business processes, reporting, analytic use cases and databases

Work with business directly, analyze requirements update mapping documents

Strong Experience in Data Profiling, Data Analysis, and proficiency in creating Source to Target mapping document, writing and reviewing BRDs, FRDs, etc.

Should be able to perform impact analysis for application changes

Complete understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Project implementation methodology

Should take responsibilities tracking deliverable, taking ownership on deliverable in an onsite-offshore model and deliver on time

Exposure to ETL and Data warehousing preferable

Experience in any ETL Tool is mandatory

Working knowledge of Power BI

Ability to operate independently and successfully in a fast-paced environment

Superior communication skills both oral and written

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, or related discipline

Preferred Experience:

5+ years experience using SQL to query and analyze data

Proficiency in Power BI or other reporting tools

Proficient in version control and relational databases

Master’s degree in computer science, statistics, or related discipline

Mandatory Certificate: Certification in SQL
