The Massry School of Business is seeking a qualified adjunct instructor to teach BBUS 100 Survey of Business. This introductory course provides students with an overview of various business fields, including accounting, finance, marketing, management, entrepreneurship, business information systems, and business analytics. The course aims to familiarize students with key concepts and career opportunities in each area. This is a 1-credit course.

Responsibilities:

+ Develop and deliver course content that covers the fundamental principles of each business field.

+ Engage students through lectures, discussions, and interactive activities.

+ Coordinate and host guest speakers from business school faculty, industry professionals, and alumni.

+ Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and participation.

+ Provide guidance and support to students regarding career opportunities in business.

+ Maintain office hours to assist students with course-related inquiries.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

+ Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.

+ Minimum of 8 years' professional experience in one or more of the business fields covered in the course.

+ Previous teaching experience at the college level is highly desirable.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.

+ Applicants must demonstrate an ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within our diverse campus community.

Additional Information:

Availability for (4) sections:

+ Fall 2025 Schedule:

+ 8-Week (1) August 25th - October 12th on Mondays from 3:00pm-5:00pm

+ 8-Week (2) October 15th - December 8th on Wednesdays from 3:00pm-4:50pm

+ Spring 2026 Schedule (tentative):

+ 8-Week (1) January 21st - March 10th on Tuesdays from 4:30pm-6:20pm

+ 8-Week (2) March 11th - May 13th on Thursdays from 4:30pm-6:20pm

All sections of the course will be delivered in-person at University at Albany

Professional Rank and Salary Range: Lecturer, Part-time;$1,667 per section
