Controls Estimating Engineer

Job Description

The Controls Estimating Engineer designs control system solutions and develops accurate project cost estimates to support the sales process. This role requires strong technical knowledge of control systems and the ability to translate customer needs into effective, competitive proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with customers to define project requirements and propose tailored solutions.

Support the sales team by presenting technical proposals and cost estimates.

Interpret customer specifications and develop project content using tools like AutoCAD, EPlan, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Specify system components, estimate labor hours, and build detailed project budgets.

Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and vendors to develop cost-effective solutions.

Source competitive pricing through vendor and purchasing team collaboration.

Conduct site visits to gather measurements and assess current conditions.

Stay current on emerging technologies to provide innovative and differentiated solutions.Company Description
