Alliance Resource Group is recruiting for a Sr. Manager of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting for our publicly traded client in South Orange County.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the lead technical accounting resource, offering expertise on complex accounting issues and advising on appropriate treatment and disclosures.
Draft detailed technical memos to document accounting conclusions and support regulatory compliance.
Prepare and review key financial and investor-facing documents, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, investor decks, and internal executive presentations.
Collaborate across departmentsâ including investor relations, legal, finance, M&A, and audit teamsâ to ensure all reporting meets SEC requirements and aligns with broader business goals.
Manage accounting aspects of acquisitions and mergers, including technical evaluations of deal structures and their impact on financial reporting.
Lead the annual revision and distribution of company-wide accounting policies and procedural documentation.
Assist with both internal and external financial reporting processes and help implement and maintain control activities.
Stay current on new accounting standards and regulatory updates; evaluate how changes affect the business and lead adoption and implementation efforts.
Prepare audit-ready documentation and support audit processes by working closely with internal and external audit teams.
Contribute to ad hoc initiatives, special projects, and analytical reviews as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelorâ s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
A minimum of 8 years of combined public accounting and corporate finance experience
Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to engage effectively with colleagues across all levels and with external stakeholders
Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams, including Legal, HR, Payroll, and external advisors
Strong analytical thinking and effective problem-solving capabilities
Detail-oriented with superior organizational and time management skills in a deadline-driven environment
Expert-level proficiency in Excel
Familiarity with Workiva and Workday is a plus
Self-motivated, accountable, and comfortable working independently
