Position Summary:
The Program Coordinator for Global Engagement supports international student success and fosters cross-cultural engagement through leadership development, orientation programming, and student events. This role involves coordinating student leadership programs, assisting with New International Student Orientation, planning and executing student events, managing procurement processes, and providing administrative support for Global Engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate Global Engagement Student Leadership Programs
Manage the application and interview process for student leadership roles.
Collaborate with Communications staff to promote leadership opportunities.
Supervise student leaders and support their development.
Oversee events organized by and for student leadership groups.
Support New International Student Orientation
Assist in planning and implementing Orientation programs.
Communicate with campus partners contributing to Orientation.
Manage content for online Orientation modules.
Plan and execute workshops and social events.
Organize and procure supplies and printed materials.
Support student registration and attendance tracking.
Plan and Implement Student Programs and Events
Develop educational, cultural, and social events that connect international and domestic students.
Create programs that support international student success.
Provide logistical support, including venue reservations, transportation, catering, and registration.
Collaborate with Communications staff to promote events.
Manage Fiscal Procurement and Budget Processes
Purchase supplies and arrange transportation for events.
Obtain quotes and maintain documentation (receipts, participant lists) in Workday.
Coordinate with OAA Business Services to ensure timely and accurate processing of requisitions and spend authorizations.
Provide Administrative and Communication Support
Monitor and respond to inquiries from the general Global Engagement email account.
Promote student events and activities.
Manage supply inventory and ordering.
Collect information from campus partners and vendors.
Provide administrative support for the inbound exchange program and academic support services for international students.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
2 years of relevant experience required.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working with international students.
Background in student support within higher education.
Familiarity with procurement processes and budget management.
Additional Information:
The Targeted Hiring Range for this position is $21.35- $26.33. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
