Senior QA Automation Engineer

We are currently searching for a Senior QA Automation Engineer:

Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of automated testing for front-end, back-end, and mobile platforms.

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and UI/UX designers to ensure quality across all components.

Guarantee adherence to business requirements through comprehensive testing strategies.

Requirements:

Over 3 years of experience in automation development.

Strong knowledge of test automation for REST and SOAP services.

Hands-on experience with mobile testing using Appium.

Experience in front-end automation (preferably Playwright, Selenium, or similar).

Proficiency with Karate framework.

Solid understanding of microservices architecture.

Proficiency in Java and automation design patterns.

Familiarity with Gradle and GitFlow.

Deep knowledge of the test automation pyramid, including integration, component, and system testing.

Understanding of consumer-driven contract testing and Pact Broker (PACT) tools.

Experience with CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Knowledge of security concepts (SSL, certificates, keystore/truststore) is valued.

Desired:

Familiarity with Fortify & Blackduck.

Experience with Kafka, NestJS, and Next.js.

Active Scotiabank user credentials.

Experience using Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence.

Financial/Banking industry background, preferably with Scotiabank.

Languages:

Advanced Oral English.

Native Spanish.
