Controls Engineer

The Controls Engineer will be part of a Controls team responsible for the ideation, development, and implementation of state-of-the-art automated solutions with a first and best-to-market mindset focused on efficiency, safety, and capacity. They will also work on special projects such as development and improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure the MES system is functional for production.

Work on improvement projects with controls of equipment and MES.

Work with Elec Tech's in maintenance to ensure uptime.

Work with supervisors and other Engineers to problem solve. QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

Related work experience

Experience with maintenance in a manufacturing environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent analytical, problem solving and leadership skills.

PLC Programming Design and Troubleshooting

Factory Talk Transaction Manager

Ignition

Robotics OEM programming Languages (i.e.., Fanuc, ABB, KuKa)

Vision and Perception Prime OEM Experience (i.e., Cognex, Banner, Sick, etc.)

Software Design, Simulation, and Emulation (Controls Focused).

Support day to day operations using tools of the engineering discipline.

Apply various technical problem-solving techniques to evaluate recommended manufacturing improvement strategies and programs - 5 Why analysis, 1 x 1 problems solving, MTBF, MTTR, and other Root cause strategies.

Clearly and effectively present ideas and problem solutions to department heads and plant management.

Analyze operations, processes, and manufacturing sequences to make improvements and reduce operating time and cost.

Develop requests for approval of expenditures - capital, expense, and purchase requisitions.

Robotics Advanced Path Planning and Functionality in Non-Native Languages (i.e., RoS)

Vision and Perception Development of Vision Software to Facilitate Robotic Path Planning

Industrial Electrical Licensure

UL Industrial Controls Panel Design and Build

Machine Learning Development and Implementation

MHE (Material Handling Equipment) Specific Logic Control

Distribution and logistics Automation Experience
