Join Zoox as a Senior Feature Validation Engineer and play a key role in bringing our autonomous vehicle to life. As part of the Feature Integration Verification and Validation team, you'll lead the effort to validate complex vehicle-level functions and ensure they meet production-level quality. In this high-impact role, you'll lead a growing team of engineers while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to develop, validate, and continuously improve the robot's features and capabilities. You'll be a hands-on technical leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, holding yourself, your team, and the broader organization accountable for delivering on system requirements. This role sits within the Vehicle Development organization and is critical to supporting the integration and validation of Zoox's ground-up autonomous vehicle platform.
In this role, you will:
Lead cross-functional validation efforts across software, hardware, systems, and simulation to ensure seamless performance of autonomous vehicle features
Build and mentor a high-performing team of engineers, driving technical excellence and ownership in feature verification and validation
Develop and scale automated test solutions to improve coverage, speed, and reliability
Optimize test strategies and workflows to accelerate feature maturity and deployment
Coordinate end-to-end testing to validate new features and support public road compliance in partnership with the Homologation Team Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
10+ years of experience in hardware, software, and systems verification and validation
Proven ability to design scalable test strategies across diverse engineering teams
Hands-on experience testing integrated vehicle systems, including electrical, mechanical, and HMI components
Experience leading and growing teams, with strong organizational and cross-functional communication skills Bonus Qualifications
Working knowledge of requirements management tools (Polarion, JIRA)
Experience diagnosing issues on CAN, Automotive Ethernet, and LIN
Familiarity with LINUX and Python
$155,000 - $246,000 a year
Base Salary Range
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
