Job Details

Electrical Controls Engineer Responsibilities:

Program machines as assigned by the priority list/project manager.

Assist and develop new machinery and make recommendations on their mechanical design to enhance programming ease and electrical component utilization.

Perform engineering priority tasks assigned by Engineering leader on-time and within budget.

Start-up new R&D machines and develop programs so that future machines can be started without any programming expertise.

Serve as a resource for start-up questions from shop personnel.

Responsible for cost reductions on existing equipment.

Ensure sold machines conform to product and technical specifications.

Make recommendations to mechanical engineers about how to enhance machine performance.

Ensure machines conform to company engineering standards.

Review and approve job-specific manuals – touchscreens/operations.

Electrical Engineer - Controls Experience:

Allen Bradley Software: Rslogix 5000, Studio 5000, Factory Talk View Studio.

Allen Bradley Hardware: Kinetix 6000, Kinetix 5700, Control Logix, Guard Logix.

2-year associate's degree in an applicable field or 4-year Electrical Engineering Degree, or applicable work experience preferred.
