Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Dispatcher for a company based in Baton Rouge, LA. In this role, you will have the opportunity to …? to respond to customer inquiries, resolve service-related issues, and handle incoming calls and emails. The ideal candidate will have experience in trucking/logistics, as well as customer service experience dealing directly with the customer. ?

Pay Rate ?

$16-$17/hour

Schedule and Hours ?

Monday- Friday 08:00am-5:00pm

Dispatcher Duties and Responsibilities?

Schedule and dispatch drivers to appropriate locations based on customer needs and load availability.

Communicate with drivers to provide route updates, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.

Respond to customer inquiries regarding shipments, delivery times, and service issues.

Coordinate with warehouses, freight brokers, and shippers to optimize routes and load efficiency.

Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, driver logs, and load details.

Assist in resolving transportation delays, driver concerns, and other logistical challenges.

Resolve customer complaints and service-related issues promptly and professionally.

Maintain positive relationships with customers, carriers, and vendors.

Handle incoming calls and emails regarding dispatch, delivery confirmations, and load availability.

Dispatcher Qualifications and Requirements ?

High school diploma or equivalent, required

Solid computer skills, required

Solid communication skills, required
