This position is responsible for evaluating pricing strategies that maximize profitability and ensure competitiveness in the market on customer contracts and large orders. This position involves analyzing market trends, assessing customer behavior, and collaborating with our sales teams to align pricing with business objectives and overseeing the team that maintains customer pricing data based on customer pricing terms and product cost data. This position is also subject to complete all other tasks assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not limited to the following:

Strategic Management

30%

Work with the Sales Team to evaluate the profitability of pricing strategies for:

Potential new customers, often with limited data

Contract renewals for existing customers.

Large orders based on markups, freight terms, and other factors affecting total cost of transaction (i.e. mode of transportation, inbound freight, product type, etc.).

Develop and implement pricing policies and guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance.

People Management

40%

Supervise associates on pricing and billback master data teams

Provide direction to associates on assigned tasks and procedures

Provide training and performance feedback

Conduct associate check-ins; responsible for achievement of goals and objectives

Complete other supervisory tasks as needed

Process Management

30%

Provide monthly Ad-Hoc analysis and reporting to other group and team members as assigned.

Review SAP Master Data processes to ensure that they meet the ongoing needs of Wasserstrom and ensure that best practice is spread.

Maintain pricing master data to ensure data integrity and uniformity-investigate and develop tools for improving processes and data cleansing.

Work with the Sales Team to evaluate the profitability of pricing strategies

Education and Experience

Associates or Bachelors

2 - 5 years related experience and/or training

Preferred

Bachelor’s or higher education

Supervisory / Leadership Role 2 – 3 years

Other Skills and Abilities Include but are not limited to the following:

Proficient computer skills; ability to use MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel

Technical ability to learn and use a variety of software programs, SAP experience is a plus

Communicates well with others; speaks and writes clearly; asks for and offers help when needed

Interpersonal; resolves questions and concerns in a professional manner; maintains confidentiality

Detail oriented; meets quality standards and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness

Organized; completes work in a timely manner; able to prioritize and meet deadlines
