GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Crane is seeking a safety-conscious and detail-oriented Elite Material Handler to join our logistics and distribution team. This role requires travel with the crew in company-provided vehicles to various customer sites. The Elite Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, loading, unloading, and documentation of materials, ensuring compliance with company SOPs and customer-specific requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Travel with crew in company vehicles to job site locations (start times vary; currently 5:00 AM).

Perform materials handling activities, including loading, unloading, labeling, and inspecting cargo for damage.

Use hand and power tools, PPE, and lifting equipment (certification provided by Crane).

Operate pallet jacks and rider jacks after receiving proper training.

Read and follow work orders and instructions to determine required material movements.

Accurately scan freight using RF equipment and maintain proper documentation.

Safely load materials into vehicles, using strapping and padding as needed.

Complete daily production sheets, labels, and paperwork accurately and on time.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.

Adhere strictly to Crane safety protocols and customer-specific requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Able to stand, sit, kneel, and lift without assistance for extended periods.

Able to push, pull, lift, and move heavy items (50–75 lbs regularly).

Must be physically capable of stooping, crouching, reaching, balancing, and climbing.

Must be able to work in a warehouse and high-traffic dock environment.

Job will require punctuality and regular attendance on-site at the assigned work location.

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES

Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Dependable with a strong work ethic and punctuality.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Minimum of 1 year of related material handling or warehouse experience.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Must pass a customer-specific background check.

Must sign and adhere to a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Must be able to understand and communicate effectively in basic English.

Must wear composite toe shoes (no metal or steel toes allowed).

No metal (including titanium) or electronic medical devices on/in body.

WORK CONDITIONS

Schedule may include early starts, extended hours (12+ hour shifts), weekends, and holidays as required.

On-site presence required at the assigned work location.

May be asked to perform other warehouse duties when not at a customer site.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

Professional certification may be required in some areas.
