Position Overview:

The phlebotomy supervisor is responsible for oversight of the Occ Health drug testing / phlebotomy staff operations. Oversees the work of the team, making certain that all areas under his/her responsibility are covered and all policies and procedures are adhered to.

Specifics:

-Position: Drug Testing Lead

-Department: Occupational Health

-Location: Gateway Regional Medical Center 2100 Madison Ave. Granite City, IL 62040

-Position Status: Full-time

-Work Schedule: Days, 40hr per week

Education Qualifications:

Required: High school graduate or equivalent

Preferred: course work in biology and chemistry

Required: Display ability to read and understand written data

Required: Display good verbal communication skills and Data entry skills

Certification Qualifications:

Required: Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology, or 3 years of hospital phlebotomy experience or equivalent

Required: Federal Drug and Alcohol certification within 3 weeks of hire.

Required: Current Basic Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross BLS) certification within 3 months of hire

Experience Qualifications:

Minimum of two years phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting with demonstrated advanced skill in venipuncture.

Experience in data entry and medical terminology.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $23.80 - 35.70 per hour.
