Are you a sharp accounting professional with restaurant experience looking to make your mark in a high-growth hospitality company? This rapidly expanding restaurant group is building its corporate headquarters in Austin and is seeking a detail-driven Assistant Controller to support our growth.

What You'll Do

Financial Leadership:

Master multi-unit general ledger operations across our restaurant portfolio

Drive month-end close processes with precision and speed

Create financial reports that guide strategic decisions

Ensure GAAP compliance and support audit preparations

Operational Excellence:

Partner with General Managers and department heads

Streamline AP/AR and payroll processes

Manage capital expenditures and fixed asset tracking

Identify process improvements in our growing operation

Team Development:

Mentor junior accounting staff

Collaborate across HR, operations, and procurement

Build scalable financial procedures for continued growth

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

3-5 years of accounting experience with RESTAURANT/HOSPITALITY background

Strong general ledger and month-end close expertise

Experience with hospitality platforms (R365, Compeat, QuickBooks, Opera)

Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail

Total Compensation Package

Base Salary: $75K - $115K (higher for exceptional restaurant experience)

Performance Bonus: Annual opportunity
