Job Description
As a manager of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and Yogurtini, you are responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations to ensure a clean and safe environment and ensure that our customers leave with memories that make them a loyal customer for years to come. We are ONE store with shared employees and spaces with around 10-14 employees. We do everything from stocking, cleaning, customer service, decorating product, cooking caramel, and more. This position will report directly to the owners in regards to scheduling, day-to-day operations, promotions, hiring and firing. The responsibilities of the manager would include:
· Hiring, training, supervising, directing, and developing employees to be the best they can be to deliver an unforgettable positive experience for every customer
· Leading with a fair, firm, and fun approach
lead by example in the form of impeccable customer service/guest interaction, solid work ethic, and cleanliness
· Learning the different roles in the business to improve efficiency and direct staff
· Create staff schedule to ensure appropriate staffing and make adjustments when required
· Will be main point of contact with staff for coordinating callouts, questions, or emergencies
· Helping employees understand why their role is important and why each task is necessary
· Managing inventory and working with the assistant manager on new products
· Creating a fun and positive atmosphere for employees and customers
· Responsible for working with owners in creating engaging social media posts that promote our brands and increase sales volume.
· Evaluating metrics to make necessary improvements
· Communicating with the owner
· Work collaboratively with ownership and maintain professional relationships with outside consultants/vendors.
· Improving operational procedures
What you’ll need:
· Prior management experience (2+ years in restaurant management or retail would be helpful not required)
· Ability to speak to and smooth customer service interactions in agreeable manor
· Positive attitude even in stressful situations
· Flexible schedule, work on nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
· Excellent leadership and communication skills
· Not afraid to confront important employee issues such as health code violations, theft, procedural issues
· Great with prioritizing and organization
· High standards for self and the team with improvement and retention in mind
· Obtain and maintain Managers Food Handlers Card
· Excited to learn and grow personally and professionally
