We are currently searching for a talented Engineer in Training (E.I.) - Bridge to support our Southeast Region in Atlanta, GA.

The ideal candidate will assist a team of Engineers on a variety of projects such as structural design and engineering studies by performing engineering-related tasks including research, development, design, plans production and delivery on assigned project(s).

What you'll be doing:

Contributes to the preparation or modification of reports, plans, and designs for projects using latest software and 3D Design Techniques

Assists in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates

Performs other duties as assigned

Participate in the collection and analysis of data and preparation of satisfactory designs

Perform design calculations and conduct investigative analyses toward completion of assigned design tasks, and direct preparation of design specifications What you need to have:

Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering

Emphasis in structural knowledge

1 - 4 years of structural engineering experience (preferably GDOT)

Previous GDOT experience desired but not required

EIT (E.I) Certification is required

Experience with MicroStation

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines.

Valid driver's license.

A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).
