We are looking for teammates who are:
Knowledgeable in data network services and methods of data network design
Knowledgeable in computer system analysis, design, testing, debugging, and maintenance techniques
Able to present technical and non-technical reports in a clear and concise manner
Eager to use their interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with vendors, management staff, and users
Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of independently prioritizing tasks
What you will do: As a Solution Technician you will work with solution engineers to resolve issues and provide operational support for assigned applications used within the SCDOR. Supported systems are a mix of in-house developed, purchased, and third-party application systems.
Primary job duties include:
Monitoring assigned applications to ensure maximum availability and performance for the SCDOR.
Ensuring the configuration and maintenance of applications.
Providing operational support for assigned application systems and solutions utilized within the SCDOR
Working closely with the Application Services team to ensure all systems are compliant with the SCDOR's security policies and standards.
Serving in a lead security analyst role to oversee assigned security findings for the Application Services team as needed.
Participating in the phases of the solution development process.
Assisting solution engineers during business solution implementations for new and existing systems.
Researching system-related technological updates and emerging technologies for potential SCDOR opportunities.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and experience in information technology, electronic technology systems, or other related areas. An associate degree or bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience.
Academic degrees must be from an accredited institution of higher learning.
Additional Requirements:
Flexibility to work extra hours or outside normal working hours
Ability to be on an on-call rotation to be reached 24/7
Ability to lift hardware up to 40 pounds
Some overnight travel may be required

Training: Solution Technicians will participate in a training program to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to successfully perform their job.
Hours: Work hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week).
Telework schedule: This position may be eligible to work remotely up to two days per week.
