Minimum 1+ years intrepreter experience required.

An opportunity exists for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support students in a vibrant elementary school setting located in Huntington, IN. This role is designed for the full-time 2025-2026 school year, focusing on providing interpretive services to facilitate communication for a student in a general education classroom.

Qualifications:

Current certification as a Sign Language Interpreter

Minimum EIPA score of 3.5

Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)

Experience interpreting in educational settings, particularly with elementary age students

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals

Location:

Huntington, IN

Responsibilities:

Provide interpretation services for the student throughout the school day

Collaborate with educators to support the student's learning and communication needs

Attend and participate in IEP meetings and staff consultations as required

Adapt interpretations based on the educational context and the needs of the student

Maintain professional standards and continue professional development as an interpreter
