Job DetailsResponsibilities+ Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and blueprints+ Develop accurate estimates covering labor, material, and equipment costs+ Evaluate project site conditions to inform bid strategy+ Solicit, compare, and analyze quotes from suppliers and subcontractors+ Coordinate with internal teams to ensure cohesive bid packages+ Identify potential risks and propose cost-saving solutions+ Participate in bid reviews, negotiations, and project handoffs+ Maintain current knowledge of materials, pricing, and market trends+ Ensure all estimates comply with applicable codes and regulationsQualifications+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (required)+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical estimating, preferably in HVAC or plumbing+ Proficient in estimating software such as FastPIPE, QuickPen, AutoBid, Trimble, or Bluebeam; familiarity with Procore and ComputerEase is a plus+ Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, construction methods, industry standards, and local building codes+ Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications+ Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills+ Excellent verbal and written communication abilities+ Capable of managing multiple project estimates and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment+ Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting+ Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy+ Certified Professional Estimator (CPE), Estimating Certification (Mechanical), Certified Cost Professional (CCP), or Construction EstimatingInterested in hearing more?
