We have immediate openings in its State & Local Tax and Advisory practice for Sales & Use Tax Manager.

Our typical engagements include delivering value-added services that maximize savings and minimize exposure on behalf of our clients through: Audit defense, Reverse audits, Nexus Surveys, Voluntary Disclosures, Tax Matrix Development, Transactional Analysis, Buy-side Due Diligence and Tax Automation Implementation Assistance.

Job activities and responsibilities may include: o Supervising day-to-day tasks that ensure successful completion of engagements; o Practice management including developing business plans and interviewing others to join our team; o Reviewing analyst's work product and developing analyst's skill set; o Data analysis, spreadsheet development and review, tax research and technical writing; o Working with state and local officials and negotiating the settlement of refund claims and audit appeals; o Building client relationships and professional networks; o Developing transaction tax skill set through participation in continuing education events; o Participating in practice development through identifying and implementing process improvements, in addition to identifying and capitalizing on market trends.
Job Requirements: The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes: o Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related field; o Ability to supervise others in a positive manner and prioritize subordinates' work loads o Experience with multistate sales and use tax, business license tax or state income and franchise tax preferred.
o Minimum of 6 years of progressive tax/accounting/auditing experience.
o Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail.
o Ability to work independently.
o Superior writing, research and communication skills.
o Advanced Microsoft Excel and database software skills.
o Working knowledge of sales tax functions in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.
o Ability to multitask while meeting tight, client-driven deadlines.
o Excellent personnel and client management skills.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Relocation package may be considered for highly qualified candidates.
