Job Summary:
The technical process and regulatory manager provide management over all aspects of environmental health and safety, security, quality, and serves as lead technical resource for the plant.
Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):
Plan and coordinate technical activities at the plant in conjunction with VP of EHS and General Manager.
Participate in capital projects, design, conception, costing and installation.
Determine the most feasible approach to technical problems.
Enter all finished job tickets into Syspro for Inventory management daily. Ensure OPS manager is providing accurate job updates with notes for daily job completion. Adjust formulations that are seen to require routine.
Participate in plans, designs, and cost estimates for experimental, maintenance, and modernization programs.
Evaluate performance of chemical processes and evaluate risk to revenue with General Manger and VP of EHS.
Develop new products based on customer needs/requests, market opportunities and corporate requests. This position is responsible for NACD activities and ensuring compliance and favorable audit status with NACD programs as it relates to Milport.
Ensure compliance with all federal and local regulatory agencies and manage regulatory reporting including DHS CFATS, EPA -TRI, TSCA, FIFRA, OSHA, DOT guidance of SDS and Label compliance. This position will oversee all FIFRA compliance with contracted agent to manage and ensure compliance with Hypo labels, registrations, and sub-registrations with EPA.
Serve as the primary emergency coordinator in the case of incidents or emergencies. This position will be site security manager for CFATS compliance.
Develop and coordinate laboratory testing and quality control activities including creation of certificates of analysis.
Formulate/reformulate products to meet sales and customer needs and specifications and/or approve all new products/formulas. Responsible for ensuring all new chemicals needed are approved by Corporate EHS for use in products sold and all TSCA factors are met.
Review need for return product along with General Manager and Sales, give department approval on any product returning to Milport.
Provide technical and regulatory support to account managers as well as to customers directly.
Create and update technical documents such as safety data sheets, labels, and technical data sheets.
Implement and manage Quality management systems and NACD programs at the facility.
Evaluate performance of chemical processes and physical operations
Coordinate site IT activities and aid corporate in Security systems.
Coordinate any new/replacement phones, PC, network and Wi-fi systems with other necessary approval processes.
Coordinate and Evaluate operations technology with oversite with level controls, inventory management technology, and other technology operational implementations as it relates to all Environmental and Regulatory Compliance.
Communicate with the general manager to ensure the goals and direction of the company are consistent with corporate expectations.
Work with Corporate EHS to develop skills and knowledge of all regulatory aspects covering the entire corporate operations.
Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities):

Required:
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Science related, or chemical engineering (Strongly preferred).
Experience in chemical related tasks from a chemical manufacturing facility or laboratory.
Familiarity with laboratory testing/procedures and quality control activities.
Knowledge of industrial chemicals.
Familiarity with regulatory agencies and requirements.
Skills & Ability
