Lifeguard

As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all members and guests at the pool. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor swimming areas, enforce safety rules, and respond to emergencies with swift and effective action. Additionally, you will engage with members to promote a positive and enjoyable experience while maintaining a vigilant watch over the pool and surrounding areas. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to a safe and welcoming atmosphere that encourages recreation and leisure activities for all members.

Minimum Qualifications:

Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification/ CPR and First Aid Certification or ability to be certified

Ability to swim proficiently

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in swim instruction or coaching.

Previous lifeguarding experience in a recreational setting.

Responsibilities:

Monitor pool and aquatic areas to ensure the safety of all guests.

Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.

Perform CPR and first aid as needed in emergency situations.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the aquatic facilities.

Skills:

The required skills, such as CPR/AED and First Aid, are essential for responding to emergencies and ensuring the safety of all guests. Teamwork is vital as you will collaborate with other lifeguards and staff to maintain a safe environment. Familiarity with American Red Cross protocols will enhance your ability to enforce safety regulations effectively.
