Process Engineer

Process Engineer – Greater Waverly, Iowa Area

Direct Hire On-Site $65,000 – $85,000/year

We're partnering with a growing manufacturing company in the greater Waverly, Iowa area to find aProcess Engineerwho will support production operations, troubleshoot issues, and lead process improvement initiatives in a chemical or food manufacturing setting.

? Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support process and capital engineering projects at the facility

Monitor project budgets, schedules, and vendor coordination

Oversee ongoing production operations and direct plant personnel on assigned jobs

Collaborate on SOP development and equipment/process training for operators

Identify and implement process improvement strategies and resolve bottlenecks

Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, maintenance, and customer project teams

Act as a technical lead for select customer accounts

Ensure safety and compliance across all projects and tasks

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field– OR –10+ years of comparable experience in engineering roles

1–5+ years of experience in a food or chemical manufacturing environment

Familiarity with ISO, QSR/GMP standards and quality practices preferred

Hands-on experience with process scale-up, equipment installation, and technical support
