Rotating Equipment Repair Technician

Job Description

We are a Manufacturers distributor, authorized packager and Service Center for Low Pressure and vacuum products located in Northwest Houston. We are currently looking to fill an open position in our Service & Repair Department.

Primary responsibility will be Blower teardown & rebuild. Looking for someone with solid mechanical aptitude and experience rebuilding Industrial Rotating Equipment. Candidate is expected to have a firm grasp on the use and application of tooling and power tools needed to tear down and repair industrial equipment. Position offers opportunity to anyone looking for a career as an Industrial Mechanic. Individual should have experience working in a shop environment. Experience in a field service environment is a plus. Position offers product training and an excellent opportunity to further a career working on rotating equipment.

Experience Level:

3 years’ experience in Industrial rotating equipment repair

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

· Experience in repairing rotating equipment or other relatable industrial equipment

· Clear demonstration of mechanical aptitude required.

· Individual should have firm understanding in the importance of tolerances and clearances.

· Must be familiar with basic mechanics tools, power tools and the application of those tools.

· Experience with alignment tools and their application.

· Ability to inspect parts and use measurement tools indicators, dials, etc…

· Ability to apply on the job training and hands on learning.

· Individual should come prepared to work with their own set of basic tools and tool box.

· Hours: Must be flexible. Sometimes overtime on short notice or weekends.

· Work environment: Shop & Occasionally outside field service

· Must be able to work in Hot / Cold environments.

· Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.

· Must be able to stand / walk for extended periods

Education / Experience:

· High School diploma or general education degree ( GED )

· 3 years or more related work experience

Must be able to pass drug screen, physical and background check. Must have valid Texas driver’s license. Must be authorized to work in USA.
