What will you be doing?
Determine setup requirements, operation sequence, and tolerance of finished parts by interpreting blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and instructions.
Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material to set guides for subsequent machining processes.
Machine bar stock to precise specifications.
Verify the conformance of finished parts to specifications using precision measuring tools.
Perform preventative maintenance on machinery as required.
Assist with additional duties as assigned, depending on workload and business needs.
What do you bring?
Proven mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Proficient in intermediate math and reading.
Practical experience with Okuma lathes, mills, and other industrial equipment used in machine shops.
Strong experience operating Okuma lathes is essential.
MasterCam programming experience required!
Ability to modify CNC programs.
Adequate motor skills to safely and efficiently operate tools and machinery.
Ability to stand and/or walk for the majority of the scheduled shift, typically 8-10 hours per day, with the possibility of overtime as needed.
