Job Description

Privately owned oil and gas services company, is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant. The senior accountant's responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. This position will oversee our general accounting day-to-day accounting procedures.

Responsibilities include:

· Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.

· Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

· Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.

· Conduct month-end and year-end close process

· Prepare financial statements

Ideal candidate will have 6+yrs experience in the oil and gas industry along with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Construction accounting experience is also preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within an industry role.

• Proficiency in construction accounting, including project accounting and percentage-of-completion methodologies.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger processes, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

• Demonstrated experience with account reconciliation and financial reporting.

• Familiarity with Spectrum software or similar accounting tools.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and manage multiple priorities.
