Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Belleville, Illinois. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in analyzing and resolving financial discrepancies, ensuring accurate reporting, and collaborating with the accounting team to implement effective solutions. This position requires a strong background in accounting systems and the ability to manage complex financial processes.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the accounting system to identify the root causes of financial discrepancies.

• Address inaccuracies in indirect labor cost reporting and inventory tracking to ensure accurate financial data.

• Collaborate with the accounting team to align system outputs with actual financial performance.

• Implement corrective actions and provide training to support the team’s understanding of system processes.

• Perform regular system testing to verify the accuracy of financial reporting.

• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to maintain operational efficiency.

• Review inventory management processes to ensure proper tracking and reconciliation.

• Identify and resolve system-related issues impacting financial reporting.

• Support budgeting processes to ensure alignment with financial goals.

• Provide audit preparation and assist in reviewing financial records as needed.• Proven experience in accounting and financial reconciliation.

• Strong knowledge of accounting software systems, preferably Global Shop or similar platforms.

• Expertise in inventory management and cost accounting.

• Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Proficiency in auditing and budget planning.

• Experience with system conversions and implementations.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex financial system issues.
