Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Flint, Michigan. In this role, you will handle a variety of clerical and administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data management processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
• Input, retrieve, and verify data in computer systems with precision and efficiency.
• Prepare and type various forms, letters, and reports, including confidential documents.
• Maintain and organize complex clerical records, cross-referencing files and establishing categories as needed.
• Coordinate workflows and act as a resource for clerical support staff.
• Manage office procedures, including payroll processing and supply requisitions.
• Respond to inquiries and provide information to staff or the public as appropriate.
• Take and transcribe notes during meetings or conferences, ensuring accuracy.
• Supervise support staff by scheduling work, training new employees, and evaluating performance.
• Prepare correspondence and reports based on brief instructions or independently.
• Oversee medical records management and ensure compliance with organizational standards.• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to type at least 55 words per minute with minimal errors.
• Minimum of three years of secretarial experience in a setting requiring attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of office procedures, terminology, and business mathematics.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to follow complex instructions and work independently under general supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
