Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk for our client in New Orleans, Louisiana. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to key financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy in handling financial data. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

• Reconcile account balances to ensure financial records are complete and accurate.

• Handle billing operations, including generating and reviewing invoices for clients or vendors.

• Perform data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date financial records.

• Review and process invoices, ensuring proper documentation and approval.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to prepare reports, track expenses, and analyze financial data.

• Address and resolve discrepancies or errors in financial documents.

• Support month-end and year-end closing processes as needed.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

• Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.

• Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

• Familiarity with invoice processing and billing procedures.

• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus.
