Company Description
The Print Production Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficient and high-quality execution of all stages of the printing process, from pre-press to final product, by operating equipment, managing projects, and maintaining strict quality control. This role involves handling and troubleshooting digital printing machines, reviewing and preparing digital files for print, selecting appropriate materials, and inspecting finished products to ensure RBDC and RBNA specifications are met. Additionally, the Print Production Specialist coordinates with internal teams on both RBNA and RBDC to ensure timely delivery, manages inventory and costs, and oversees the shipping of quality work nationwide.
Job Description
Collaborate with RBNA and RBDC to ensure local needs are met promptly.
Oversee the printing process from pre-press to final production, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and quality.
Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain digital printing machines to ensure smooth workflow and minimal downtime.
Prepare and review digital files for print, ensuring proper formatting, color accuracy, resolution, and compliance with specifications.
Inspect printed materials for errors, consistency, and adherence to RBNA and RBDC specifications before final production and shipment.
Address print defects, machine malfunctions, and production challenges quickly to maintain high-quality output.
Select and manage materials such as vinyl, ink, and finishing options, ensuring stock levels are maintained and supplies are ordered as needed.
Package and ship high-quality work nationally according to project timelines and requirements.
Monitor production costs, optimize resource usage, and minimize material waste to maintain cost efficiency.
Maintain an organized working area and streamline workflow processes to ensure operational readiness at all times.
Generate monthly charge-back reports to track and manage costs.
Evaluate and enhance image quality by identifying pixelation and poor resolution and collaborating with content creators.
Diagnose and resolve issues with existing equipment through thorough inspections, necessary repairs, and collaboration with technical teams.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Strong planning, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Proven effectiveness as a creative problem solver
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including being able to prepare
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Hands-on experience with digital and/or offset printing machines.
Knowledge of prepress processes, including file preparation, color correction, and imposition.
Minimum 2+ years working in a digital department and running digital equipment
Working knowledge of Digital Print Production Software.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Regularly lift, move, and place up to 50 pounds of inventory and/or advertising material
