Chester Upland School District is hiring two full-time Emotional Support Teachers for the 20252026 school year. These are onsite positions requiring strong classroom and behavioral management skills and prior school-based experienceideal for educators with a passion for working in urban settings.Open Positions:

1. Toby Farms Intermediate School

Assignment: Maternity leave coverage

Duration: September 2025 April 2026

2. Chester Upland School of the Arts

Schedule: 37.5 hours/week

Start Date: August 25, 2025

End Date: June 12, 2026Key Responsibilities:

Provide emotional support services in a structured classroom setting

Create and implement differentiated lesson plans aligned to state and district standards

Use formative assessments to guide instruction

Support student behavior through clear expectations and consistent routines

Collaborate with support staff and administrationRequirements:

Active PA Special Education Certification

Bachelors degree required (for emergency permit eligibility if needed)

Prior school experience required

Ability to plete all required PA clearances

Must have strong classroom and behavioral management skills

Experience working in urban school environments
